Privacy Policy of Volkswagen Immobilien GmbH
Responsible
We are pleased that you are visiting a website of Volkswagen Immobilien GmbH (hereinafter referred to as Volkswagen Immobilien) ‒ Poststr. 28, 38440 Wolfsburg, Germany; email: kommunikation@vwimmobilien.de; registered in the Commercial Register of Brunswick Local Court under No. HRB 100002 (“Volkswagen Immobilien GmbH”) ‒ and thank you for your interest in our company and our products. In the following, we inform you about the collection, processing and use of your data when visiting our website.
Processing of personal data
When you visit our website, we only process the data that the browser transmits to our server:
- Internet Protocol addresses, which are anonymised as soon as possible by default;
- information about the end device, operating system and browser used;
- geo-information up to city level;
- the URL called up with the associated page title and optional information on the page content;
- the website from which the accessed individual page was reached (referrer site);
- the subsequent pages that were called up from the called-up web page within an individual web page;
- the length of time spent on the website; and
- other interactions (clicks) on the website such as search terms entered, files downloaded, videos viewed and items ordered.
For the hosting of this website, we use the operational services GmbH & Co. KG order processor.
This data is processed in accordance with Article 6 Paragraph 1 f) of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) on the basis of our legitimate interest in being able to properly display the website to you.
You have the possibility to contact us via a contact form and to send us an enquiry. In the respective form, the information that we absolutely need from you is marked with an asterisk. This includes: first name / surname, postal address, date of birth, communication data. All information you provide in fields without an asterisk is voluntary. We process your personal data in order to contact you and to process your enquiry in your interest (Art. 6 Para. 1 b) GDPR).
We delete your data as soon as we have answered your enquiry to your satisfaction or you have requested us to delete it, provided that no other retention periods (e.g. tax retention periods) conflict with this.
We regularly carry out customer surveys in order to find out how satisfied our customers are and to be able to promote this. For the purpose of online surveys, we use the services of the provider Netigate Deutschland GmbH, Luisenforum, Kirchgasse 2, 65185 Wiesbaden, Germany. Netigate processes the information provided by users solely for the purpose of evaluating the survey on our behalf and, insofar as no personal data such as names or email addresses are requested, stores this data anonymously, i.e. in particular without the IP address of the user. We use Netigate for the needs-based design and optimisation of our products and services (Art. 6 Para. 1 f) GDPR).
Insofar as personal data is requested within the scope of the survey beyond the subject of the survey (e.g. name, address), we point out separately within the scope of the survey that this is additional, voluntary information that we collect and use. Your personal data will then be processed with your separate consent on the basis of Article 6 Paragraph 1 a) GDPR.
In the case of surveys with personal data, these are automatically deleted after six months.
Volkswagen Immobilien uses cookies on its websites. Cookies are small files with configuration information that are stored on your terminal device. Cookies can be divided into different categories. There are cookies that are essential for the functionality of the website (in the cookie banner: necessary cookies), cookies that increase the comfort of a website visit and, for example, save your language settings (in the cookie banner: preference cookies), cookies that collect interaction on the website (in the cookie banner: statistics cookies) and cookies based on which a pseudonymised usage profile is created (in the cookie banner: marketing cookies).
Necessary cookies are indispensable to enable you to visit the website (Art. 6 Para. 1 b) GDPR). All other cookies are only set if the website visitor has given their prior consent (Art. 6 Para. 1 a) GDPR). The consent is given via the so-called cookie banner and must be actively clicked on.
Further information on cookies can be found in our cookie policy.
This website uses the etracker GmbH web analysis service to evaluate user access to this website. Our concern is the optimisation of our online offer and our web presence (Art. 6 Para. 1 f) GDPR).
We do not use cookies for web analysis by default.
Since the privacy of our visitors is important to us, data that may allow a reference to an individual person, such as the IP address, login or device identifiers, are anonymised or pseudonymised as soon as possible. No other use is made of the data, nor is it merged with other data or passed on to third parties.
Only the web page data from web servers are used, as well as information that the web browser transmits to the web server to retrieve web pages. This information is transmitted with each individual page request. However, unlike cookies and comparable technologies, no information is read from the memory of the userʼs terminal device and no information is stored on this terminal device. The pseudonymous information makes it possible to link individual page views to related sessions. The linking with a time stamp prevents page views beyond a 24-hour time window from being linked to customer journeys or user profiles by means of this information.
You can object to the aforementioned data processing at any time. The objection will not have any adverse consequences.
More information on data protection from etracker can be found at https://www.etracker.com/datenschutz/.

You can also demand erasure if we process your data on the basis of your consent and you withdraw this consent.
Right to restriction of processing
You have the right to request the restriction of the processing of your data if the conditions of Article 18 of the GDPR apply. This is the case, for example, if you dispute the accuracy of your data. You can then request the restriction of processing for the duration of the verification of the accuracy of the data.

In addition, you have the right to object to data processing for direct marketing purposes. This also applies to profiling, insofar as it is related to direct advertising.
